Baseball - Senior Wes Minton

Wes finished the season 3rd in the league with a .489 batting average and 2nd in the league with 35 RBI. Wes also contributed to the team’s Division Title with stellar defense and outstanding pitching. Wes will be attending Parkland C.C. in Illinois.

BOYS TENNIS

SOFTBALL

Boys Tennis - Timo Lange

Timo finished runner up in the GCTCA Tennis Tournament, 3rd place at 1st singles in the FAVC tennis tournament, and completed the season with a record of 14 wins and 8 losses.

Softball - Junior, Sarah Alley

 

 

Sarah completed an outstanding 2010 regular season finishing first in the Buckeye Division with 18 wins, an ERA of .82 and a league leading 222 strikeouts!  In addition to her pitching dominance, Sarah had a .473 batting average!

Boys Bowling -- Junior Jason Ashcraft

JAshcraft

Jason had a personal high series of 428 pins against Harrison. At the Western Bowl Holiday Classic Jason had a three game series of 557 pins for an average of 186 pins. After starting the season slowly, Jason has really picked up his game with a single game high of 235 pins at Harrison.

Girls Bowling -- Senior Samantha Higgins

SHiggins

Samantha leads our girls team with an average of 143. Samantha has not had a bad game this year and is keeping her average very steady. Samantha has a series high of 306 pins and a single game high of 162 pins bowled against Little Miami.

 

BOYS GOLF

 

BOYS GOLF - Tyler Wade

Tyler had an impressive 2009 season, and made it to the District Golf Tournament. With a scoring average of 42.20, Tyler helped lead the Milford golf team to a 7-6 overall record, placing them 4th in the FAVC.

 

SOCCER

 

SOCCER - Connor Clark

Connor Clark is a two year varsity letterman. Last year, Connor started for the Milford team that won the FAVC and went to the regional final. This year, Connor is a key player for the 6th ranked Milford team which has won 9 games to date. He has scored 9 goals and had 8 assists. But, his skillful play is more important as it raises the level of everyone around him.

SOCCER - CG Bryant

CG Bryant is a 2 year varsity starter. She has been consistently one of the best forwards in our league all season long. She finished the regular season with 14 goals and 6 assists. In one of our hardest weeks of the schedule, she tallied 4 goals and 3 assists in wins over Turpin, Anderson, Indian Hill, and Loveland. The wins over Anderson and Loveland helped clinch our second straight FAVC league championship. As a captain, CG has been instrumental in leading our younger players in their soccer development. Recently, CG was named to the 2009 Homecoming Court and finds as much success in the classroom as out on the field. She plans on playing college soccer at Northern Kentucky University.

WATER POLO

 

WATER POLO - Dan Matulis

Dan Matulis has been the stable force for the Eagles all season and is a great team player as well as team captain. Dan leads the team in almost all offensive categories. Dan's individual and team play has led the Eagles to a 29 - 7 - 1 regular season record. Dan is a terrific student and makes everyone around him better.

WATER POLO - Naomi Week

Naomi Week continues to excel in Water Polo. Naomi is a great defensive player for the Eagles. Naomi is this year team captain. She continues to take her game to the next level and makes the right decisions throughout the game. Naomi has been a big part of leading the Eagles to an outstanding 26 - 2 regular season record. Naomi is an outstanding student athlete and team leader.

GIRLS TENNIS - Lauren Poole

Lauren has been our 1st singles player for two years now, demonstrating a strong focus on improving her ability during this time. Lauren has put a great amount of time and effort in off season work, and faces the very best tennis players from each school on our schedule, as well as others from around the city in tournaments that we play in. Lauren is always looking to find ways to improve her game, both physical and mental, and is a pleasure to coach. Her strong leadership characteristics shows every day we play! Lauren puts a lot of pressure on herself to achieve her goals, but does an excellent job making adjustments along the way.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL - Rachel Von Holle

Rachel Von Holle is a senior, and plays as our “libero” (defensive specialist). Rachel is the first one at practice, the last one to leave and is a great team leader and motivator. In addition, in all of the FAVC she is ranked #8 in digs with 180, #2 in serve receive passing with 627 perfect passes, and #12 in aces with 31. Rachel is a co-captain on the volleyball team and is a great example of a scholar athlete. Her dedication and determination is what helps make Milford VB one of the best defensive forces in not only the FAVC but also in the city of Cincinnati.

   

CROSS COUNTRY

 

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY - Kristen Brady

Kristen ran a career best time of 21:07 on Saturday at the Milford Invitational to place 20th overall and help the team to a 4th place finish in the 12 team field. 

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY - Jacob Prem

Jacob Prem

Jacob was Milford's first finisher in all 3 meets so far this season. Jacob's best time this season is 18:03, which placed him 35th at the Milford Invitational. Jacob is a quiet leader in practice, setting the pace for his teammates on many of our runs. Jacob is an Honors student who continues to perform well in the classroom.
