GIRLS TRACK

After a strong showing last year, 3rd in the FAVC Championships, we look to make another jump into the top 2 spots at the Conference meet. We have some strong, returning runners that will bring talent and leadership as well as a number of incoming athletes that should contribute at the varsity level from day 1. We are excited to have the numbers that we do, and hope that those numbers allow us to improve our team in multiple events. We will have to work hard to replace several school record holders, a few Regional Qualifiers and a State Placer. With these returning members and the addition of all the newcomers we feel that this year could be the best our TEAM has had in a long time. Watch for our Sprinters and Relays as they should have a very successful year. Morgan Wolcott will be a welcome addition to our jumps program and should compete for an FAVC Championship in her events. Kelly Johnson leads our distance crew this year with hopes of becoming All-FAVC in her events. Savanna Termuhlen returns this year as a sophomore after placing in the top 8 of both the 100 m and 200 m, we are looking for more of the same from her. Taylor Riley and Abby Dierks will lead our Mid-Distance group and will run everything from the 100 m to the 800 m as well as multiple relays. All in all we have a strong team on paper, now we just need to show everyone on the track that we can be as good as people think we can.
