This year the Milford Wrestling team looks to improve on last year’s season where they finished with 3 district qualifiers (Quentin Dunn, Connor Deitrich and Jimmy Shamblin). The team is led by captains, Quentin Dunn and Connor Deitrich, and nine returning letterman. Coach Jim Costello is in his 9th season as the Milford Head Coach and will be joined by assistants, Wes Lowe, Mike Ambrose, and Mike Hadley. Also, 1997 Milford graduate Mark Reckman will be making his debut as an assistant coach.
The Eagle wrestling season will begin with their participation in the Harrison Invitational on December 5th at Harrison High School. This year’s schedule will be highlighted by the team’s participation in the SWOWCA Coaches Classic on December 19th & 20th. The Milford Invitational will be held on January 29th & 30th just before the post season begins.
Come out and support your Milford Eagle Wrestling Teams all season long as they attempt to capture the 2009-2010 FAVC Championship.
Congratulations to the Wrestling team! They place 6th at the Sectional Meet on Saturday. The team qualified 4 wrestlers to the District Meet and 3 alternates.
The District Meet will be held on Friday at Fairfield High School. Competition begins at 2:45pm.
