The 4x100 girls relay team ended the year by once again setting a new school record, besting their own record for the fourth time this season and breaking 50 seconds.
Juniors Lauryn Knarr and Lindsey Lawson, sophomore Emma Netzel, and freshman Andrea Armstrong twice set the latest new school record at the OSHAA Division I Regional Track Meet during the preliminaries and finals.
The ladies recorded a 49.99 during the Regional finals on Fri., May 27th, topping their previous record which held for only two days, from the preliminary heat time at Regionals of 50.24.
The team set their a new record of 50.31 at Districts the week prior, which replaced the 51.09 time set by the same squad on May 3rd at the Hamilton Blue Heaven Invitational.
Before the record-setting 2016 season, the previous record of 51.20 had held over 27 years, set in 1989 by Bridgette Gordon, Laurie Dever, Melissa Grandstaff, and Jane Pfeiffer.
