The MHS girls bowling team has advanced to the Division I OHSAA District Tournament.
The Lady Eagles were the Sectional tournament runners-up at the OHSAA Division I Bowling Sectional Tournament on Wed., 2/22. They missed winning it all by a mere sixteen total pins behind conference rival, the Glen Este Trojans.
The girls earned a second place finish out of sixteen teams, including Glen Este, Turpin, Hamilton, Lakota East, Mother of Mercy, Kings, Lebanon, Amelia, Sycamore, Middletown, Loveland, Princeton, Lakota West, Mason, and Wilmington.
The ladies were led by junior Jessica Haines with a three game series 577, followed by senior Alyna Hook with a 494 series. MacKenzie Mason, a junior, rolled a 348 two game series, while senior Lauren Shelton (214) and sophomore Jessica Norman (172) each contributed to the team’s advancement.

UP NEXT: Milford, one of the top seven teams to advance, will travel to the OHSAA District Tournament next week. Milford and Glen Este will be joined at the Sectional tournament by Lebanon, Wilmington, Mother of Mercy, Princeton and Sycamore.
The girls Division I District Tournament will be held on Thurs., March 2nd at Beaver-Vu Lanes near Dayton.
