Milford High School junior Justin Horn had an outstanding day on the links at the Glenview Golf Course during Thursday’s OHSAA Southwest District Tournament, finishing tied for eighth with a round of 74. The real story for Horn was the narrow miss of qualifying for the State Tournament as missed the chance for an individual berth by a single stroke.

With two of the available three individual qualifying spots claimed by co-medalist Austin Greaser of Butler and Tyler Goecke of Carroll, Horn just missed the opportunity to compete in a playoff after Centerville’s A.J. Cherubini and Springfield’s Lucas Wells each carded 73. The final slot went to Wells as he recorded a birdie to par for Cherubini.
