The 2016 Southwest District Diving Championships proved to be déjà vu all over again for Milford High School’s Joel Adams as the sophomore missed a coveted qualifying Ohio State Championship berth by a narrow margin for the second straight year. On Tuesday evening, Adams duplicated his finish of ninth place from last year’s district meet, missing the top-seven by just 10.5 points. Last year saw Adams miss the cut by only 11 markers. Adams’ sophomore season concluded with a final score of 338.00.
MHS senior Nolan Nye also competed at districts, placing 22nd with a mark of 113.45. Top-seeded Austin Flaute won the meet with a winning score of 481.65.
