The Milford High School boy’s basketball team enjoyed another solid campaign during the 2015-16 season. The following is a look at some milestones and achievements enjoyed by this year’s Eagles.
- With a 14-9 final record, the Eagles now have 10 consecutive seasons with a winning record and at least 12 victories.
- Finished third in the ECC standings, marking the fourth straight year since the conference’s inception that the Eagles have finished in the top half of the league standings.
- The following players earned All-Eastern Cincinnati Conference honors: Jack Engelman (1st team), Brad Hall (1stteam), Keenan Farrell (2nd team), Mitchell Wenzler (honorable mention).
- Won the all-important rebounding battle in 17 of the season’s 23 contests.
- Scored a season-best 26-point victory over Colerain in late December.
- Overcame a 14-point halftime deficit to win at Shroder, scoring a season-high 27 points in the fourth quarter to seal the win.
- Swept Loveland for the third straight season, pushing its win streak over its inter-township rival to six in a row.
- Defeated Turpin in double overtime late in the season, with Jack Engelman forcing overtime with an off-balance three-pointer, just his second of the year, with 1.5 seconds remaining in regulation.
- Enjoyed a Senior Night victory, while honoring seniors Jake Chialastri, Brendan Dugan, Jack Engelman, Keenan Farrell, Ben Greenwell, Brad Hall, Dakota Lefker, Alex Shiplett and Mitchell Wenzler with a 67-53 win over Glen Este.
- Committed just three turnovers in a Senior Night win over Glen Este.
- Yielded single digit points in 27 of 94 quarters played over course of the season, including five points or less allowed six times.
- Led the ECC in team free throw percentage at 71.4 percent, with seven players shooting at least 65 percent.
