SETTING THE SCENE: A quiet week for the Milford High School girls team will see the Eagles travel to Shawnee Lookout Golf Course on Thursday (Sept. 15) for a dual match-up with Taylor. Having played just once in the month of September, the Eagles are making last preparations for the 2016 Eastern Cincinnati Conference Tournament, scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 22 at Walden Ponds Golf Course.

A LOOK BACK: Sept. 8 vs. McAuley: Competing against one of the top teams in the area, the Eagles dropped a 168-182 dual to McAuley on Sept. 8 at Deer Track Golf Course. Junior Casey Broxterman paced the Eagles with a team-best score of 44.
INSIDE THE ECC: A tight battle continues at the top of the Eastern Cincinnati Conference standings with Milford at 4-0, just ahead of Loveland who is 3-0. The two teams are scheduled to meet head-to-head on Sept. 27 at Hickory Woods.
Individually, the Eagles have two players ranked inside the top-10 of the ECC scoring leaders with junior Casey Broxterman sixth with a 46.1 average and sophomore Bre Severns eighth with a 48.6 average.
POLL WATCH: The Eagles did not receive any votes this week in the Sept. 12 edition of the Cincinnati Enquirer Division I coaches’ poll. The battle at the top is tight with Sycamore holding a slim lead over Ursuline on the strength of a seven to five edge in first place votes. McAuley holds down third this week, with Mason (one first place vote) and Lakota West wrapping up the top-five. The ECC is represented in the rankings by Loveland in ninth and Turpin in receiving votes. The coaches’ poll is released every Monday at Noon at preps.cincinnati.com/coachespolls.
