Milford Fall Signees

The Milford High School Department of Athletics is pleased to announce that three members of its Class of 2025 will continue their athletic careers on the collegiate level. The student-athletes that have committed to continuing their academic and athletic futures are Joey Buchanan (Baseball-Bowling Green State University), Jonathan Campbell (Men's Golf-Ohio Dominican University) and Whitney Sluder (Women’s Soccer-Ashland University).

Buchanan enters his senior season having earned consecutive All-Eastern Cincinnati Conference honors, including second team as a sophomore and first team as a junior. He also picked up second team All-City accolades last spring. A talented two-way player for the Eagles, Buchanan really shined on the mound in 2024, finishing with a 4-3 record and a 2.91 ERA, along with 51 strikeouts in 43.1 innings. At the plate, he’s a career .316 hitters with 15 extra-base hits and 36 RBI entering his senior campaign.

At Bowling Green, an NCAA Division I program in Bowling Green, Ohio, Buchanan will play for head coach Kyle Hallock. Joey is the son of Tim and Tracy Buchanan.

Campbell recently concluded a stellar career that featured three straight first team All-ECC awards and four overall all-conference honors. As a senior, he won his second career ECC Tournament title, while qualifying for the OHSA District Championships for the first time. Campbell’s senior year season average of 37.3 was good for fifth in the ECC.

At Ohio Dominican, an NCAA Division II program in Columbus, Ohio, Campbell will play for head coach Chris Deibel. Jonathan is the son of Tom and Jordan Campbell.

A three-year varsity player, Sluder earned first team All-ECC honors as a senior for the Eagles. Primarily helping to lead the Milford defense, Sluder also scored three career goals and added four assists. She was also a part of three ECC and two OHSAA District title teams during her career.

At Ashland, an NCAA Division II program in Ashland, Ohio, Sluder will play for head coach Cayleb Paulino. Whitney is the daughter of Jamie and Barbara Sluder.

Further signee information will be shared throughout the 2024-25 academic year as it is finalized.
